Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson exited Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers with a left knee injury.
Johnson took a helmet to the knee on a goal-line carry in the third quarter. He was examined on the sideline for quite some time before limping into the locker room. He never returned. Johnson finished with 17 yards on 12 carries. Andre Ellington also exited the game with a foot injury, leaving rookie David Johnson as the lead back.
Among running backs with at least 80 carries, Chris Johnson entered the week ranked 21st in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry. He had a rough outing in this one, turning his 12 targets into -5.23 Rushing NEP.
