Golden Tate traded to Eagles from Lions for 3rd-rounder

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired wide receiver Golden Tate from the Detroit Lions for a 3rd-round pick.

What It Means:

Tate is on an expiring deal, so it may only be a short-term rental for the defending Super Bowl champs. T.J. Jones will likely step into the slot for Detroit but this should open up additional targets for both Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones moving forward. Conversely, Nelson Agholor's outlook takes a steep hit with Tate's arrival. The Eagles are on bye Week 9 before a home date against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.

Tate averaged 13.7 FanDuel points in seven games for the Lions this season, with 44 receptions (69 targets) for 517 yards and 3 touchdowns.
