Chicago's Matt Forte 'starter in name only' for rest of 2015
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte (knee) will be the "starter in name only" the rest of the season, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said.
This certainly implies there will be close to a 50-50 split of the touches between Forte and rookie Jeremy Langford. With Forte heading into free agency after this season, the Bears probably want to see what they truly have in Langford. In the limited work he's received, Langford has certainly impressed.
Forte isn't having his best year, trailing Jeremy Langford in both Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry and Reception NEP per target. It'll be interesting to see how Chicago splits up the workload between the two.
