Seattle's Marshawn Lynch to miss four-to-five weeks

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) is expected to miss "about four-to-five weeks" with the hope that he's back by late-December, reports FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo.

What It Means:

If Lynch misses only the next four weeks, the best-case scenario, that would have him back for Week 16, also known as fantasy championship week. With that said, owners in a roster crunch can cut Lynch if need be. Thomas Rawls -- who blew up for 200 yards a week ago -- will be locked into the lead role for Seattle.

Rawls has been an elite producer this season. Among backs with at least 80 carries, he ranks first in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry. Our projections for Week 12 have Rawls as a top play despite a matchup with a Pittsburgh Steelers' defense that ranks first in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. We see him putting up 62 rushing yards and 0.51 touchdowns while adding 20 receiving yards and 0.12 touchdowns through the air, making him the week's No. 11 running back.
