Patriots' Danny Amendola (knee) won't have lengthy absence
New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola has a sprained knee but is "not expected to miss an extended period of time," CSN New England reports.
Amendola exited Monday night's win over the Buffalo Bills after a long, 41-yard catch-and-run late in the third quarter. Per reporter Tom Curran, Amendola has yet to even be ruled out for Week 12. Curran reports his availability against the Denver Broncos will be determined by "how he responds to treatment and an increase in workload as the week progresses."
The Week 12 matchup with Denver is a tough one as the Broncos boast the league's top unit in terms of Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. While he was on the field Monday, Amendola was the focal point of the offense, hauling in 9-of-12 targets for 117 yards. He finished the win with 9.06 Reception NEP.
