Corey Clement (quad) expected to lead Eagles' backfield Thursday
Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement (quad) is expected to lead the backfield Thursday night versus the New York Giants, writes Zack Rosenblatt of NJ Advance Media.
Rosenblatt expects the backfield to split similar to how it did in Week 3 when Jay Ajayi was inactive, with Clement handling most of the early-down work and Wendell Smallwood mixing in on passing downs. Clement finished with 19 touches on 45 snaps and Smallwood logged 13 touches on 29 snaps. It's worth noting that Clement has been sidelined since that game, while Smallwood has endeared himself to the coaching staff.
Clement is currently the RB25 in numberFire's Week 6 fantasy rankings. We expect him to score 9.8 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,000, with 36.6 rushing yards, 26.9 receiving yards, and 0.31 touchdowns on 11.6 touches (3.0 catches).
