Saints plan to 'figure out the balance' in backfield

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said the team will "figure out the balance" between running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara.

What It Means:

"It'll be good for us offensively to have (Ingram) back," Payton added. Ingram averaged 18.0 touches per game last year, compared to 12.6 for Kamara as a rookie. That will likely swap in 2018, with the veteran taking on a secondary role to the sophomore stud. Ingram will make his season debut in Week 5 against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football after being suspended for the first four games of the season.

numberFire's models project Ingram for 11.4 FanDuel points at cost of $6,100 on Monday, with 12.1 rushes for 56.6 yards and 0.53 touchdowns, in addition to 10.9 yards and 0.06 scores on 1.5 receptions. He's the RB14 in our Week 5 fantasy rankings.
