FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 11

If you've never played daily fantasy football on FanDuel before, it's time to start. Unlike traditional leagues, you're able to select the players you want on that specific day only, giving you a different squad to root for each and every week.

Here at numberFire we offer great tools for premium members. The analysis below is meant to help you understand why some of these players are top picks in our tools and projections because we don't want you going into the weekend completely blind. We want to help you. Keep in mind, however, that things can change drastically if an injury is announced, so make sure you're double checking the tools and projections as close as possible to kickoff.

Let's break down the main slate on FanDuel for this week.

Quarterbacks

Tom Brady (FanDuel Price: $8,600) - Okay, so playing Brady against the Oakland Raiders doesn't require much analysis, but know that the Raiders are 32nd against the pass by our opponent-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metrics and are 31st since Week 6. Oakland is also 32nd in adjusted yards per attempt allowed as well as 28th in passing FanDuel Points per pass attempt allowed. Brady is an easy case to make in cash games this week.

Drew Brees ($8,100) - Brees hasn't had to throw much of late, and he has actually been below 30 pass attempts in three straight games. However, Brees is second in Passing NEP this season (behind only Brady), and NEP correlates well to fantasy points and touchdowns. Brees has a 4.3% touchdown rate (down from 5.3% in his career), despite a four-year high in adjusted yards per attempt. Positive touchdown regression is in the cards for Brees, and the New Orleans Saints have the second-highest implied total of the week of 29.25 points against Washington.

Alex Smith ($7,900) - Smith is actually third in Passing NEP this season, but the results have been there for him as well, as he's averaged 21.1 FanDuel points per game. This week, the Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the New York Giants, who are 32nd in passing FanDuel points per attempt, 31st in adjusted yards per attempt, and 32nd by our metrics against the pass since Week 6. Kansas City's implied total of 27.00 points is third-highest of the weekend.
