Should Marshawn Lynch Have Scored?

Could the drama have been avoided in Seattle yesterday?

The Seahawks appeared to have Saturday's Divisional Round game wrapped up when Marshawn Lynch scored a touchdown to put his team up 15 over the Saints. There was still 2:40 left on the clock when Lynch scored, but at that time, Seattle had a 99% chance of winning the game.

But the Saints were able to use that time and drive down the field for a score of their own, before successfully getting an onside kick. The drama built as the Seahawks saw their high win probability suffer, though Seattle, in the end, came out victorious.

This led numberFire Chief Analyst Keith Goldner to wonder: Should Lynch have fallen down on the one-yard line instead of scoring the touchdown?
