3 FanDuel Kickers to Target in Week 7

Matt Bryant checks just about every box this week. Does anybody else come close in Week 7?

In fantasy football, every point counts, and points are the only way you can win.

You need to maximize output from each and every player on your roster, and "punting" a position is never truly ideal. Sometimes in season-long leagues, you simply are stuck without any better options than who is on your roster already, but in daily fantasy football, where you are in control of every player you pick, there are no excuses.

So when you're making your lineups on FanDuel, don't leave kicker for last and choose whichever minimum-salary player fits in.

Move the position higher up on your priority list and learn to love the kicker. Start by targeting these three guys in Week 7.

Matt Bryant, Atlanta Falcons

FanDuel Price: $4,700

Matt Bryant is probably going to be quite popular in Week 7, and that's fine. His Atlanta Falcons are 6.5-point home favorites over the San Diego Chargers. That means the Falcons should be playing with a lead, and the "home" part means he'll be playing in a dome and on turf. With no weather concerns, a slate-high implied team total of 30.25 points on the league's best offense, according to our metrics, and a 76.8% chance to win, everything is pointing to Bryant's being the best kicker option on the main slate.

Mike Nugent, Cincinnati Bengals

FanDuel Price: $4,600

This week's largest point spread belongs to the Cincinnati Bengals, who are 10-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns. No other spread on FanDuel's main slate (i.e. Sunday-only) is larger than seven points. Our algorithm sees the Bengals winning this game 63.8% of the time, and the spread and over/under (45.5) gives Cincinnati the third-highest implied team total of the slate. With just mild winds and no precipitation on the radar (for what that's worth at this point in the week), Mike Nugent makes for a strong option. He's our highest-projected kicker of the weekend.

Ryan Succop, Tennessee Titans

FanDuel Price: $4,500

Ryan Succop is looking like the top minimum-salary option for Week 7, something we always try to offer up in case you can't spend a nickel more than $4,500 on a kicker. His Tennessee Titans are just 2.5-point favorites over the Indianapolis Colts, but our algorithm sees them winning this one about 67.7% of the time. Their implied team total of 25.25 is fifth-highest on the main slate, but Succop has yet to hit 10 FanDuel points in a game this season. I recommend spending up an extra hundred or two on a safer option rather than scraping the bottom of the salary barrel in Week 7.
