Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 9

Linebacker Christian Jones should devour the San Diego rushing attack this week.

Morality is something I consider often in my daily life -- I often wonder if what I’m doing is right or wrong, whether my actions help or hurt others, and what the cost of choosing a certain action is. I think people sometimes don’t take into account these greater questions about choices, and to me it’s very important to know not only what the result of something I do is, but the message it sends as well. I recently saw Hotel Transylvania 2 in theaters and, in it, the grandson of Dracula, Dennis, realizes that scaring people might be mean. He asks his grandfather, “Papa Drac, are we the bad guys?”

If toddler vampires are even thinking about this, it must be important.

I’ve thought about the issue of morality as it relates to our fantasy teams a great deal: am I okay with the idea of rostering defensive end Greg Hardy in my Individual Defensive Player (IDP) leagues, despite the fact that he’s done some horrible things? What about with my Green Bay Packers rostering defensive tackle Letroy Guion for similar actions? Now with the possible career-ending injury to defensive end Cameron Wake, I found myself asking these questions again about how we glorify violence.

Morality is just one facet of how we might run our fantasy teams, and it is not this column’s purpose to decide that for you. Instead, we are going to provoke your thought in a different way. Which IDP fantasy options owned in less than 15% of ESPN leagues will help you win Week 9?
