The Saints losing to the 49ers means the NFC South leader will have a losing record after Week 10 is over. But there's a clear winner according to our metrics.

Entering Week 10, the New Orleans Saints ranked 10th in our team power rankings, despite having just a 4-4 record. Division foe Atlanta ranked 21st, while Carolina and Tampa Bay sat at 25th and 31st, respectively.

Our analytics clearly see New Orleans as the best team in the NFC South, but the team records within the division don't reflect this notion. With the Saints dropping to the 49ers at home on Sunday, let's dig into the worst division in football to start this week's Things I Learned article.
