The Carolina Panthers have an implied total of 24.50 points and are 2.0-point road favorites against the Cleveland Browns. While targeting road quarterbacks who have a middling implied total isn't the most optimal way to begin a lineup, I think that Cam Newton is a viable tournament option.

This 2018 version of Cam Newton has been incredibly efficient, as he has thrown for over a 67.0% completion rate in six straight games and only once this entire season below 62.5%. His yards per attempt has been 7.60 or higher in five of the last six games, and he has multiple touchdown passes in every game this season except for the season opener.

In the last 11 games (all but the season opener), we see that Cam has twice scored fewer than 22.30 DraftKings points (18.38 and 15.72). In the other nine games, Cam has scored between 22.30 and 31.60 DraftKings points, and more recently has done so in seven of the last eight.

Newton also has 19 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions in the red zone this season. He has a high floor and ceiling combination, and the safety-upside combo is nearly unmatched.
