4 NFL FanDuel Value Plays for Conference Championship Weekend

With Case Keenum, Blake Bortles, and Nick Foles playing this weekend, it's hard not to like Tom Brady on FanDuel. But if we're looking for some salary savings as we try to differentiate lineups, Bortles should be the best bet of those not named Brady to have a good fantasy game.

There's a stark difference in the projected point totals for this week's games. The Patriots and Jaguars have the highest over/under at 46.5, while it's difficult to get excited about the fantasy prospects of the Vikings-Eagles game, which has a 38.5-point over/under. The Patriots are also 8.5-point favorites and have an implied point total of 27.5, telling us the Jaguars will need Bortles to play as well as he did last week if they have any shot at keeping this game from being a blowout.

Bortles threw for just 214 yards and a touchdown last week, but more importantly, he didn't commit any turnovers. The Jaguars' offensive line had little trouble with the Steelers' pass rush, not allowing any sacks and just four hits on Bortles. If the quarterback can again avoid pressure, the matchup is a good one against a Patriots squad that finished as the 10th-worst pass defense, per our metrics.

Bortles' fantasy outlook is also enhanced by his rushing upside. He's already rushed for 123 yards in two playoff games, but there were four games in which he topped 30 yards rushing in the regular season. His ability to rack up points on the ground is something Keenum and Foles are unlikely to do in their matchup.
