The Los Angeles Chargers D continues to be on a tear, finishing as a top-10 option on FanDuel in four straight games since their Week 9 bye. This week, the Chargers host the Washington Redskins, a team that has been all but eliminated from playoff contention following their loss to the Dallas Cowboys. According to the projections here at numberFire, the Redskins have just a 0.3% chance of seeing the postseason.

The Redskins have been generous to opposing defenses in recent weeks, giving up three top-six fantasy performances in their past five games. This includes two top-five performances from the Cowboys and New York Giants, two defenses that had previously been run over by their opponents.

The Redskins offensive line has struggled all season with injuries, and the past five games have been particular rough for Kirk Cousins. Over that span, Cousins has been sacked a total of 17 times, including multiple sacks in four out of five games. That doesn't bode well for this week in a matchup with two of the better pass rushers in the league in Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. On the season, the Chargers rank fourth in the league in sacks (35) and they've also forced 21 turnovers, which is tied for the third most.

Vegas has the Chargers as a 6-point home favorite in this matchup. Expected to be playing with a lead and against a struggling Redskins offensive line, the Chargers should continue to perform as a top defense on FanDuel in Week 14.
