C.J. Beathard, QB, San Francisco 49ers

NFL.com Start Percentage: 0%
Week 10 Fantasy Points: 25.02

What, you didn't expect 288 yards passing, 15 yards rushing, and a trio of touchdowns? You're in good company. C.J. Beathard shocked the fantasy world by posting the week's fourth-best quarterback performance (NFL.com scoring).

That said, here's why you should leave Beathard on the waiver wire for now -- he's started five games and overall he doesn't look very good on the efficiency metrics. The 49ers also traded for Jimmy Garoppolo, which means Beathard may not be the starter for long. Finally, the 49ers have a bye in Week 11 before facing two top-10 defenses in a row.

On the other hand, if you're streaming quarterbacks, you might want to keep him on your radar for later in the year. Beathard may not be a top-shelf signal caller, but he's been on the fringe of usability. His first four NFL.com weekly finishes averaged QB16 -- not great, but far from terrible.

Flash forward to Weeks 14 and 15, when he faces off against Houston and Tennessee. Houston has given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year, and Tennessee is also a favorable matchup.
