Fantasy Football: 4 Players You Can Drop After Week 8

Donte Moncrief's theoretical upside hasn't translated to the field this year, and he can be dropped from your roster. Who else should be cut from your fantasy football team?

Fantasy football can be a cruel hobby. Eight weeks into the season, fake footballers, heads buried in their hands, have fought through injuries and player disappointments that have ruined their pre-draft summer optimism.

But one of the best ways to turn your fortunes around in fantasy football is to get rid of players who aren't serving your team any purpose while they rot on your bench.

Sometimes players seemingly have a path to relevance, but for whatever reason, their role never crystallizes, and thus, these players no longer deserve a roster spot on your fantasy football team. These decisions become easier with each passing week as player performance data is far more actionable after eight weeks than it is after three weeks. And in fantasy football, if you aren't doing a weekly roster examination to get dead weight off your squad to make room for upside stashes, you aren't doing it right.

This past weekend revealed more candidates who are no longer worthy of fantasy football ownership. Who are these cut-worthy players?

Let's find out.
