Week 1 NFL Advanced Analytics Superstars

Sam Bradford torched the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. Which other players helped their teams the most in Week 1?

Week 1 is officially in the books, and while for many superstars it was a bit of a dud, we did see several dominant performances.

Each week, we'll take a look at offensive players at each position who helped put their team in the best position to win. This takes us beyond just the box score and instead dives into the impact of each player on their team's success.

To do this, we'll look at numberFire's signature metric, Net Expected Points (NEP), which quantifies the number of points a player adds to his team versus how he's expected to perform. When a player rushes for 5 yards on a 3rd-and-3 and keeps the drive -- and potential for scoring points -- alive, he'll add more to his team's expected point total than when a player rushes for 5 yards on a 3rd-and-9 and forces his team to punt. You can learn more about NEP in our glossary.

With football back, we saw some new guys and some familiar faces dominating on the field. So who were Week 1's NEP superstars?
