Four late-round quarterbacks paid off in a big way this past season. None of these passers were taken until the 10th round, on average, but each ended up ranking among the best at the position.

Need another reason to avoid taking quarterbacks early in fantasy drafts?

Four passers with an average draft position (ADP) in the 10th round or later, per ADP data at Fantasy Football Calculator, finished among the top seven at the position.

Those four weren't just fantasy stars, either, as their on-field performance matched up with their fantasy output, which we can see by using our Net Expected Points (NEP) metric. Among quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs, the four signal callers we'll discuss today all ranked in the top 10 in Passing NEP per drop back.

By the way, one of these four quarterbacks was the NFL's MVP. And he didn't get drafted at all in a lot of 10-team fantasy leagues.
