Week 7 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming: Attacking the Rams

Janoris Jenkins and the New York Giants are in a good spot this week as they travel to London to face the Los Angeles Rams.

If you've been following this column and streaming defenses through the first six weeks of the season, then you know how frustrating it can be to pinpoint those low-owned units poised for a big week.

Just last week, we highlighted the Tennessee D/ST in this spot. Against the Cleveland Browns, the Titans were able to generate six sacks and hit Browns' quarterbacks Cody Kessler and Terrelle Pryor a combined 13 times, both highs for the week among team defenses. Yet the Titans were unable to force a turnover and allowed 26 points en route to being tied for the 11th-highest scoring defense of the week.

So while we made our goal of selecting a top-12 unit, the Titans scoring output obviously could have been much better.

In addition to the Titans, we picked the Baltimore Ravens and the Chicago Bears as Week 6 streamers, and they each finished tied for the 7th-highest scoring defense on the week.

All in all, a pretty good week as each of our three selections finished in the top-12.

Now it's on to Week 7.

As always, we're combing through the waiver wire to identify low-owned teams who have a great matchup. For this exercise, we're focusing on teams that are less than 50% owned on both ESPN and Yahoo. Our goal is to identify units poised to finish as a top-12 scorer this week.

There are a few solid options who just miss our criteria in the Titans (60% Yahoo, 50.7% ESPN) against the Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals (47% Yahoo, 69.5% ESPN) facing the Browns. Be sure to give them a look as you begin to set your lineup for Week 7.
