Caleb Swanigan leaving Purdue for the NBA
Purdue Boilermakers sophomore forward Caleb Swanigan is staying in the 2017 NBA Draft, ending his college career, per Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
Swanigan is turning his breakout sophomore season into an NBA career as he is projected to be a late-first/early-second-round pick. The big man led the nation in double-doubles (28) while finishing second with 12.5 rebounds per game. He owns all the tools to be a starting power forward in the NBA his rookie season.
The 2017 Big Ten Player of the Year averaged 18.5 points per game while posting a .620 true shooting percentage and a 26.2 player efficiency rating.
