Ward dominated the paint all game long going 9-for-12 from the field and making all four of his free throws. Sunday was his second consecutive game with at least 20 points and fifth of the year. He is averaging 14.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game in his last eight contests.

The win was huge for the Spartans who are squarely on the bubble for the field of 68 this year. Our models had them with a 57.4% probability of making the tourney before they earned only their second win -- in eight tries -- over a top 25 ranked team.
