Yante Maten expected to miss the rest of Georgia's regular season
Georgia Bulldogs junior center Yante Maten (knee) is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a knee sprain, according to Seth Emerson of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
What It Means:
Maten suffered the knee sprain in Saturday's loss to the Kentucky Wildcats. Head coach Mark Fox believes it is significant enough that the junior center will miss the final two weeks of the regular season. The Dawgs will be hurting without their most consistent players as they make a final push to be included in the field of 68. Our models give them just a 15.1 percent chance of making the big dance this year.
Maten is averaging a team-high 18.7 points and is second on the Bulldogs with 6.9 rebounds per game.
