76ers' first round pick Zhaire Smith suffers foot fracture
Philadelphia 76ers guard Zhaire Smith has suffered a fractured left foot, per Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
Smith, the 16th-overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, suffered the injury during a developmental camp in Las Vegas on Monday. Foot fractures are tricky to pin down with a timetable, but if he undergoes surgery he could end up missing the entirety of the 2018-2019 season.
Smith averaged 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in 28.4 minutes per game as a freshman at Texas Tech last year.
