DeMar DeRozan traded to Spurs from Raptors in deal for Kawhi
The San Antonio Spurs acquired guard/forward DeMar DeRozan from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for guard/forwards Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.
The Spurs also landed 2016 lottery pick Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick in the deal. With little depth behind him on the wings, DeRozan should see even more opportunity on offense in San Antonio after recording a 29.2 usage rate for Toronto last year. He turns 29 in August.
DeRozan averaged 37.0 FanDuel points in 80 games for the Raptors last season, with 23.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 3-pointers in 33.9 minutes per contest.
