Ainge: Celtics' Kyrie Irving (knee) may require surgery in future
Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving may require another knee surgery in the future, said general manager Danny Ainge.
Irving's left knee has been an issue after having surgery on it back in 2015. Ainge had previously said that it's something Irving will have to probably deal with for the rest of his career. Another surgery could keep him out at some point, but it's not looking like it will be this year. Irving's questionable to return on Sunday, after sitting out Wednesday and Friday's games. Terry Rozier will log heavy minutes Friday with both Irving and Marcus Smart (thumb) sidelined.
In a potential Sunday return, we project Irving for 32.8 minutes and 38.2 FanDuel points in a matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans.
