Knicks sign Troy Williams to 10-day contract
The New York Knicks have signed forward Troy Williams to a 10-day contract.
Williams was waived by the Houston Rockets last week. At 23, he's a very athletic wing defender, yet it's unlikely he's anything more than an end-of-rotation guy. The Knicks had an open roster spot so they didn't need to cut anyone to make room. They'll see what Williams has to offer as he eats into Lance Thomas' minutes down the stretch.
Williams has played just 17 minutes in 4 games this season. He averaged 18.6 minutes and 6.2 points over 30 appearances in 2016-17.
