Rockets' James Harden okay after offseason ankle sprain
Houston Rockets guard James Harden sprained his ankle "pretty badly" this summer, according to head coach Kevin McHale, but he's healthy and showed no signs of injury while scoring 19 points on Wednesday.
Harden made 6-of-13 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs in just 20 minutes, adding two 3-pointers, six rebounds, five assists and one steal against the Dallas Mavericks.
Harden, a consensus top-five pick, is coming off a monster season in which he averaged 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists with a 31 percent usage rate. He hit 37 percent of his 3-point tries and 87 percent of his free throws.
