David Lee scores 13 points in Celtics' debut

Boston Celtics forward David Lee had a nice showing during his preseason debut with the Celtics on Tuesday, putting up 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go with 7 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 turnovers through 21 minutes of action.

What It Means:

Lee started alongside Tyler Zeller, although Zeller didn't do much during his 14 minutes on the court, scoring nine points to go with three rebounds and two assists. Jared Sullinger played well during his 15-minute stint, putting up 14 points (7-of-10 FGs), 4 rebounds and an assist, while Amir Johnson contributed just six points, five boards, three assists, one steal and a block.

There are a lot of bodies competing for minutes in Boston's frontcourt, although Lee has supposedly endeared himself to head coach Brad Stevens with his passing ability, so he may be the safest late-round target out of the group.
