What It Means:

The Knicks have made it very clear that they will bring along Afflalo very slowly as he recovers from his hamstring injury, and there's a good chance he misses more than a few preseason games. That being said, Afflalo should be fine for the regular-season, and he'll likely be New York's No. 2 option on offense.

Afflalo could see a career-high usage rate with the Knicks. He averaged 13.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists last year with the Portland Trail Blazers. In the two prior seasons, he had averaged at least 16.5 points and 3.2 assists.
