Mason Plumlee unlikely to start Friday for Denver
Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone said power forward/center Mason Plumlee is unlikely to start Friday's game, according to Mile High Sports' T.J. McBride.
Malone said that he would start "mixing and matching starting power forwards for the foreseeable future." His ultimate goal is for Nikola Jokic to get accustomed to started at center with more traditional power forwards at his side. That could mean Wilson Chandler at the four or Trey Lyles entering the fold, though that's doubtful.
Plumlee has started 22 games this season. Off the bench, he's averaging 17 minutes and is projected for 23.6 FanDuel points in Friday's tilt against the Phoenix Suns.
