Nuggets' Jamal Murray placed in the concussion protocol, ruled out Wednesday
Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray has been placed in the concussion protocol and will miss Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Murray was originally diagnosed with a facial contusion on Tuesday, but after being monitored overnight, he was placed in the concussion protocol on Wednesday. Look for Will Barton and Gary Harris to see increased usage in Murray's absence, while Emmanuel Mudiay should see a significant increase in minutes.
Murray is averaging 15.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in his first season as a full-time starter. His .507 effective field goal percentage is also an increase from the .483 he posted in his 2016-17 rookie campaign.
