Heat expected to be without Tyler Johnson (ankle) 'for at least the short term'

Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson (ankle) is expected to be out "for at least the short term," according to team beat writer Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post.

What It Means:

Johnson suffered a sprained ankle on Monday against the Chicago Bulls but that comes as a relief for both Heat fans and fantasy owners after it initially appeared to be a much more serious injury. Consider him questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. If Johnson sits, that would likely open up more minutes for Goran Dragic and Josh Richardson.

Johnson is averaging 22.6 FanDuel points in 40 games (12 starts) this season. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models currently project him to record 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.4 3-pointers per game.
