Tim Hardaway Jr. (rest) ruled out for Knicks on Monday afternoon
New York Knicks shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (rest) will sit out Monday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
Hardaway appeared to injure his leg on the final possession against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday but head coach Jeff Hornacek says rest is the reason for the absence. In just his second game back a six-week absence, Hardaway logged 33 minutes on the front end of the Knicks' back-to-back, so it makes sense to not force the issue in today's matinée. Lance Thomas, Michael Beasley, and Courtney Lee could all see more minutes with THJ sidelined.
Hardaway is averaging 30.6 FanDuel points in 23 games this season. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models project him to record 17.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.1 3-pointers per game.
