Austin Rivers (concussion) ruled out Friday for Clippers

Per Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers suffered a concussion on Wednesday and has been ruled for Friday's game against the Washington Wizards.

What It Means:

Rivers left in the second quarter Wednesday's game after getting hit in the face with an elbow. He was tested and diagnosed with a concussion. There's certainly a chance that he misses more time before being cleared of the protocol. Lou Williams, Milos Teodosic and C.J. Williams will be asked to log extra minutes in his stead.

Over 17 minutes, Rivers connected on 4-of-10 shots for 9 points. He entered the game averaging a career-high 14.8 points a game this season.
