Celtics' Gordon Hayward (leg) hopeful to shed walking boot 'in the coming days'
NBC Sports' A. Sherrod Blakely reports that Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward will be done wearing a boot if not Wednesday then "in the coming days."
There is no timetable for Hayward's return though he remains hopeful to get back to the court this season. The team hasn't provided many updates and isn't pushing him to get back, especially with the success of guys like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
Not expected to return in 2017-18, Hayward is likely to finish the year with just 1 game, 5 minutes and 2 points to his name.
