Kyrie Irving (quad) ruled out for Celtics on Monday
Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving (left quad contusion) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the ChicagoBulls.
Irving took a couple knees to the quad on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons, but the Celtics are likely just erring on the side of caution on the second night of a back-to-back in an easy matchup. Marcus Smart will be in line for a start while Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum should be busy on offense. Al Horford (knee) is a game-time decision for Boston, so there could be a lot of extra opportunity to go around.
Kyrie is averaging 37.4 FanDuel points in 27 games this season. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models project him to record 22.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.9 3-pointers, 1.2 steals, and 2.5 turnovers per game on 46.3 percent from the field.
