Knicks' Willy Hernangomez unhappy with limited role

New York Knicks center Willy Hernangomez is displeased with his spot outside of the team's usual rotation.

What It Means:

Hernangomez told a Spanish media outlet, "They tell me to be calm, and that I'm going to play. But I want to play now, not sometime in the future. I like playing important minutes." The 23-year-old also spoke about being surprised by how he's started the season behind centers Enes Kanter and Kyle O'Quinn, especially after earning his way to the NBA's All-Rookie First Team in 2016-17.

Through 13 possible games, Hernangomez has played in just 7 while logging a total of 65 minutes. Our models like him to get more run as the season goes on, projecting him to average 28.3 minutes and 12.1 points over 38 games the rest of the way.
