Derrick Favors anxious to step up for Jazz with Rudy Gobert (knee) out

Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors said he's "excited" to step into a larger role for the Jazz while Rudy Gobert (knee) is sidelined.

What It Means:

“I’m excited about it: It’s a new challenge for me,” he said. “I get to be a big part of the offense now, and a big part of the defense too. It’s a big responsibility, but I’m ready for it.” Favors scored 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in 35.6 minutes of action on Saturday in his first start since Gobert went down. He should continue to benefit moving forward while Thabo Sefolosha also stepped up with 5 steals in a season-high 32.2 minutes of action.

numberFire's models project Favors to score 30.2 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,400 on Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
