Dwight Howard thrives in Hornets' debut

Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard racked up 10 points, 15 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist and 1 steal in 31 minutes of action in Wednesday's loss to the Detroit Pistons.

What It Means:

It was a good showing from Howard in his first game in a Hornets uniform. It's his third team in the last three seasons, but despite bouncing around he has produced well, averaging 13.5 points and 12.7 rebounds per game with the Atlanta Hawks last season.

numberFire's models project Howard to average 11.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 28.7 minutes per game this season. His next matchup will be a revenge game against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, and numberFire projects him to grab double-digit rebounds again in that one.
