Pelicans' Anthony Davis (illness) probable for season opener
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis is listed as probable for Tuesday's season opener against the Memphis Grizzlies.
According to the team's public relations account, Davis is expected to play after dealing with an illness. That should be confirmed at tomorrow's shootaround. The Pelicans are, however, expected to be without big men Alexis Ajinca (knee) and Omer Asik (illness) so that leaves Davis to play some extra minutes in the opener.
In 36.0 minutes, our models project Davis for 26.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks against the Grizzlies. His projected 50.6 FanDuel points are a solid return at $10,800 on Wednesday's main slate.
