Paul George admits he has something to prove with Thunder

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George says he and teammates Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony are "playing with chips on our shoulders" this season.

What It Means:

“All three of us [have something to play for],” George said. “All three of us are playing with chips on our shoulders, all for different reasons. [But] the main reason is we’re not champions. We’ve never been champions." After spending the first seven years of his NBA career with the Indiana Pacers, George has arguably his best chance yet at competing for a ring as one of the newest members of a new-look Thunder squad. Even alongside Westbrook and Anthony, he remains a top-flight fantasy option.

numberFire's models project George to average 22.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.2 3-pointers per game this season.
