Lakers' Jordan Clarkson will have more plays drawn up for him this season
Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton said that he would like to draw up more plays for guard Jordan Clarkson in 2017-18.
Walton also said that he would like to limit the 25-year-old's dribbling in halfcourt sets. In essence, this would make Clarkson much more of a spot-up shooter, coming off screens and sitting on the perimeter. He would be asked to do a lot more of that in the first two games of the season with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the team's starting two-guard, suspended.
As Clarkson comes off the bench as one of the team's better scorers, we project him for 1,025 points and 107 three-pointers on 41.9% from the floor and 33.3% from downtown. As the 133rd pick in average drafts, Clarkson is a late-round option for points and three-pointers.
