Pau Gasol and Spurs agree to a three-year deal

The San Antonio Spurs and forward Pau Gasol have agreed on a three-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

What It Means:

Gasol opted out of his previous deal with the Spurs to sign what is likely the 37-year-old's last NBA contract. The final year of the contract is only partially guaranteed. Gasol will play between 20-25 minutes per game as a reserve frontcourt role player in San Antonio.

Gasol averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 rebound, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 blocks in 25.4 minutes per game last season. He posted a 6.7 nERD rating, ranking him 28th among the 486 NBA players in 2016-17.
