Marcus Morris headed to Celtics in two-player exchange

The Detroit Pistons are sending Marcus Morris to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Avery Bradley and a 2019 second-round pick, per Shams Charania of The Vertical.

What It Means:

In a deal that helps the Celtics land free agent Gordon Hayward, the Pistons depart with 27-year-old Marcus Morris, who should be in contention for the starting power forward position in Boston. Morris is set to make $5 million in 2017-18 and is under contract until the summer of 2019.

Having posted a nERD of -3.0 in 79 starts, Morris ranked 14th of 15 Detroit players in 2016-17. He also brings averages of 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists to Boston.
