Kelly Olynyk agrees to four-year deal with Heat
Former Boston Celtics forward/center Kelly Olynyk has agreed to a four-year, $50 million-plus deal with the Miami Heat, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
Olynyk finds a new home quickly after the Celtics were forced to allow the big man to leave so they could sign Gordon Hayward. The 26-year-old Olynyk will help strengthen the Heat frontcourt depth as he will likely back up both the power forward and center positions in Miami, much like he did in Boston.
Olynyk averaged 9.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while playing 20.5 minutes per game off the bench last season. His 1.9 nERD rating ranked him 87th among the 486 NBA players in 2016-17.
