Derrick Rose meeting with Clippers
Free agent point guard Derrick Rose, formerly of the New York Knicks, will meet with the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Milwaukee Bucks are the favorite to acquire Rose's services, but that will require some salary shaving. If Los Angeles winds up being the landing spot, Rose would likely compete with Patrick Beverley for primary point guard duties in the Clippers' backcourt. Either way, he'll be 29 by the start of the season and doesn't offer too much fantasy upside due to poor outside shooting and a dearth of steals.
Rose averaged 18.0 points, 4.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 turnovers per game last season for the Knicks. His -2.9 nERD in 2016-17 ranked only 190th among the 245 qualifying guards in the NBA.
