Clippers make enticing pitch to free agent Danilo Gallinari
The Los Angeles Clippers' free-agency pitch to unrestricted free agent small forward Danilo Gallinari made a "strong impression," according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
What It Means:
L.A. has "long coveted" Gallinari, and it's unclear how much competition they'll face -- the Sacramento Kings have reportedly fallen out of contention, and the Denver Nuggets recently agreed to a three-year deal with forward Paul Millsap. Gallo's only weakness is health; he's missed an average of 25 regular season games in the past five seasons.
Gallinari's 6.1 nERD was the 14th-most among the 275 qualifying forwards in the league last year.
