Celtics looking to land Gordon Hayward, Paul George
The Boston Celtics are devising a plan in which they would acquire both Gordon Hayward and Paul George this summer, according to The Vertical.
Since the conclusion of their seasons, rumors have been swirling around both All-Star forwards. While Hayward is set to hit free agency this summer, George won't become a free agent until next season. But, after telling management that he would be heading elsewhere in 2018, George has been on the trading block ever since. And the Celtics have the assets to return such a high-level player.
Whether or not Danny Ainge will pull the trigger is one thing, but the potential is there either way. If the Celtics were to reel in both players, they would be adding the league's 6th- and 11st-best small forwards, according to our power rankings.
