Bucks' Malcolm Brogdon wins Rookie of the Year
Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon won the 2017 Rookie of the Year award.
The Rookie of the Year award was one with a lot of intrigue with two Sixers big men, Joel Embiid and Dario Saric also in the running. However, the voters chose to award Brogdon, whose team had much more success than the Sixers. The Bucks' rookie guard started 28 games for Milwaukee and while he didn't have the stats that Saric and Embiid had, his impact on his team was enough to collect 64 first place votes.
Brogdon averaged 10.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.1 steals over 26.4 minutes per game. He posted a .518 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of -0.2 ranked 204th in the league.
